DFWAA Featured Honoree

DFWAA FEATURED HONOREE

DFWAA is proud to introduce our Featured Honoree Program, a heartfelt initiative designed to celebrate or support remarkable individuals. Prior to each DFWAA EXPO or Auction we will announce a featured guest, someone deserving of recognition or in need of assistance.

At DFWAA, we are committed to shining a light on extraordinary individuals—those overcoming challenges or making a meaningful difference in their communities. Together, the DFWAA Board, Vendors, and Members come together to show support. Through raffles, donations, and the opportunity to host a free table at the EXPO, we aim to make a tangible impact. Join us in celebrating and assisting those who inspire us all!

For this EXPO, our Featured Honoree is Katherine Rinz. Katherine has been treating and rescuing wildlife since the 1990’s when she worked as an emergency veterinary technician in the Garland area. Katherine and her daughters take in injured and orphaned small animals like opossums, squirrels, eastern cotton tails, skunks, raccoons, snakes, turtles and lizards amongst many other animals. She’s saved thousands of animals over more than a quarter of a century. And she’s financed most of the costs incurred by herself.

Our next Featured Honoree can be anyone who could use a helping hand. If you have someone in mind, please pass it on to us in Facebook chat or email us at contact@dfwaa.org. And now, you can text us at our new association phone number: (945) 333-8116
